Volunteer Firefighters

Protecting the lives and propreties from fires!

The Moonbeam Volunteer Fire Dept will be holding it's annual car wash and BBQ on June 11, 2016 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Damco fuels in Moonbeam. Proceeds of the car wash are going to the Cité Des Jeunes graduation comity.

When you see a vehiclewith a flashing green light on their front-windows, Please give right of way. These drivers are volunteer firefighters on their way to an emergency - they could be going to your house.

A smoke alarm may save your life during a fire since it will detect and alert you of early stage of fire. For the best use of a smoke alarm they must be installed on every floor and also near every sleeping area. Every month, home owners should test their alarms and replace the batteries at least twice a year or when your alarm indicates that the batteries are no longer working properly (constant beeping sound).

If a fire occurs, make your way outside and do not enter the building, Dial 9-1-1 and wait for help.

When I am called to duty,

God Whenever flames may rage,

Give me the strength to save some life,

Whatever be its age.

Help me embrace a little child,

Before it is too late,

Or save an older person from

The horror of that fate.

Enable me to be alert and

Hear the weakest shout,

And quickly and efficiently

To put the fire out.

I want to fill my calling and

To give the best in me:

To guard my every neighbor and

Protect his property.

And if according to my fate,

I am to lose my life,

Please bless with your protecting hand,

My children and my wife.
